Unfinished Business (for Tutu)

I've been surfing and surfing through the link cmorgan posted for Unfinished Business at http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=8122 . I found a dl link for UB for vanilla BG1 and I found a defunct link for a beta for UB for Tutu. I can't find a solid link to dl UB for Tutu. Can anybody help me?

 

I can tell you it's BG1UB v4. That's the version that works for tutu. I'll find the link I dl'd it from and post it here as an edit.

Okay. That's the version I have but on the first item UB wants to install (something about ice caves) I get told that I don't have TotSC installed, which I do.

Edit: That was weird. While waiting for more feedback on this issue I figured I'd re-try installing the mod. This time it recognized my TotSC and installed the Ice Island component. Weird but at least I can play now!

The issue might be that most of the time with these mods you gotta run them, then re-run them before you install their components so they can create a set-up file.

Hmm.So this can be installed on an Easy TuTu download? I never knew it!

Are there any mod conflicts with other major TuTu mods? Such as NPC mod and SCS for instance?

 

Silverstar: you really should take a look at cmorgans list it gives the best overlook at tutu and all the mods. BTW it seems, that tutu was something for you, now you both have Bg1 and bg2, nice?

 

Ofcourse, I have been playing Easy TuTu games for quite a time now. I have finished Easy TuTu twice right now, with BG1 NPC project, SCS and Grey Clan mods. (along with a few cosmetic and ease of use mods)

I will get Finch NPC for my next run I think, but I can get UB too!

However, the forums of Pocket Plane say that current version of UB for BG1 is nigh incompatible with TuTu so I am kinda confused!

So noone else knows for sure that if UB is compatible with TuTu? Oh well...

 

UB IS compatible if you do what described on that particular list. If you don't then it may or may not work. cmorgans bibel look under 8.5.

 

UB is compatible with EasyTutu Silverstar, I'm playing my 2nd game at the moment with both of them installed and so far there have been no problems.

Here's what I have:

The only problem I had with UB is when I tried to install it with EasyTutuHotfixes. Most of the UB components reported an error then so be sure to skip that.

 

You may have to search a bit for the Tutu version of UB - I will try to find that link and update it on the master list this weekend (unless someone tosses it up here first) - Ascension64 was very cool and made sure it skips any incompatible components if you install it after BG1NPC; if you do install it before, you just have to skip some components as listed in that G3 thread.

I will try to test that Hotfixes vs UB thing, too... Macready and Ascension64 are top-notch coders, so they will want to know if something is not working out between them. Especially as EasyTutu is pretty much the platform of choice for both modders and players now

@ cmorgan - If it would help I could try and reinstall everything with the Hotfix and UB to get the same error and then send you my Weidu.log

 

That would be cool - I can at least try to help Macready and Ascension64 work out what is going on. But wait until you finish your current game, or at least build a throwaway istall - don't destroy a perfectly good game experience by doing that test.

I did not get back to this quickly as we were wrapping up BG1NPCv14, but I will work on rebuilding that State of the Tutu Modding Union post this evening with corrected links so folks don't have to hunt.
