Uninstalling Problems

    PROBLEM: My moms computer won't let here uninstall the game, IWD2. I installed it on here problem-prone computer that had been freezing randomly before i installed IWD2 and it has gotten worse since. She wants to uninstall it but it won't let here, it goes straight to the install screen, not the uninstall, whether she goes AllPrograms/BlackIsle/IWD2/IWD2Setup&Uninstall, or MyComputer/IWD2(D)/AddorRemovePrograms/ChangeorRemovePrograms/IWD2change/remove.

    QUESTION:I'm wondering if she can't uninstall it because she doesn't have the cd, probably, because her computer is very messed up because of internet connection problems, or the cd may of had problems on it?

    I searched but i couldn't find a similar post, even though i mght have misspelled.

    One solution for the problem, IF it really can't be uninstalled by the unistaller, is to manually delete the files you know are associated with the game - game folders/Start tree/etc. - and then clean up your registry with something like regcleaner (there is an option to remove all registry entries for a chosen product from the programs list). The problem is that you have to know what you are doing or your mothers computer won't work at all after you finish wrecking the registry.

    I went to blackisle.com and went to a message board made by our own moderater Extremist and he gave a way to clean the registry.

    I'm pretty sure the game isn't causing more problems but i told her she could uninstall it just in case.
