There are blinking thousands of business courses - look on the UCAS website... I don;t think most of them require As. Try some of the colleges (ex polys) which are now affiliated to the bigger unis (Southampton, Warwick/Cov., Sheffield, Nottingham, Oxford, Bristol, Leeds etc. There are also a few dedicated London ones...)

There is also a list of clearing places somewhere on the web if you are looking to start this sept. They should say what the grades they require are.

I take it that since you're looking now, you're not going till Sept/Oct 03? Gives you plenty of time to look if nothing else. UCAS form late Autumn?

The most popular courses are going to be out of reach unless you are predicted 3 A's / 2A's + B or something similar, but there should be plenty of good courses out there at decent Uni's.

Also remember that what they ask for is not necessarily what you have to get.... My girlfriend was asked for A + 2 B's iirc, but still got onto the course with a B + 2 C's. It really does very much depend on how pushed they are on places.

I've just been offered a position at Bath so have to recommend it :) I'm mainly there in a research capacity but may do some lecturing again (though normally post-grad). So you could have a chance to experience my organisational design through Football analogy or corporate strategy the darker side. I suppose I also have to recommend my old stomping ground Warwick, though without me, it's not as good as it was :D

[IMG] Ha! I've been offered a PhD at Bath, and will probably take it up. Some verygood research groups there.

Try to base your choice of University (even for an undergraduate degree) more on research (www.rae.ac.uk, up to 5*) rather than teaching (up to 24 i think).

I'll stick with CL, Sheffield is consistently voted top university 'all-round', places like Manchester and Warwick are 'up-and-coming'.

When you manage to narrow down to the six choices, tell us and we'll try and (if possible) give some first-hand advice from our own visits. Good luck!

I went to Bath for the Business Admin course. The main problem unless things have changed is that the grades required will be close to 3 A's. It was 3B's when I went, but they were way over-subscribed, so following year changed it to 2A's + B iirc.

Secondly, most business type courses are very broad, therefore very shallow. I left after a year, coz I was bored. More to do with me personally at the time than the course, I'm sure, but I really hated Sociology and Social Psycology of Group Behaviour! What utter drivel.

Bath itself though is a beautiful city and I would live there any day given the chance and the relevant funds to buy a house.

The University unfortunately looks like some giant has played with giant concrete lego bricks and an old bicycle and then just left it in a heap on top of a hill. Harsh but fair. At least it can't be seen from the town....
