Use of items and backstabbing (unrelated)

    I played through the entire game without knowing how to use special abilities of items and backstab.

    For the items, I'm not talking about obvious things like the abilities of wands but for example certain weapons have a special ability once per day. How do you access it?

    Is backstabbing a special ability or does your thief just have to get behind someone and attack?

    For the items, in the screenmenu below (weapons/fists/magic/etc.) you'll have a button that says: special ability (I think). Click there and you'll get acces to them.

    For the backstabbing: A thief must be invisible, has got to have a sharp weapon (dagger/sword) and has to stand behind the enemy. Then attack and WHACK!

    When you have a special ability on for example a weapon, there's a button enabled in the menu (button is in the bar where also are the attck, stop and "cast spell"-button are)

    For backstabbing, the important thing is that you can Backstab only when you are Hided in Shadows (Hide in Shadows button is also in the same bar). You need to be close to the enemy without he have seen you. Then you can use the attack button. You will always act as first now, and that gives chance to backstab!
