[IMG] Ok well I do not know if this already has been discovered ages ago, but as I was playing this game in HoF mode I came across two nifty glitches. Up to you if you want to use them or not. Also I have the most current IWD2 patch installed.

    1. How to make the Mordekainen's Sword spell last indefinitely long(or as long as you'd like):

I dont know if this would work for everyone but when I was in the Wandering Village fighting the zombie villagers Isair and Madae made, I had one of my wizards and sorcerer cast Mord's Sword during the battle. Then after the battle and the cutscene that ensued, I rested in Venla's house. I then saw suddenly that the Mord's Swords did not wear off my wiz and sorc for some reason no matter how much I rested. I then decided to try and see if I can play the game with this. And so I did and my wiz and sorc have been hacking and slashing up everything in my way nonstop and the spell still never wore off.

However, a warning, if you cast Mord's Sword again, or use Dispell Magic, the glitch will wear off so be careful if you use this. Also beware of enemies that can cast Dispell Magic. I personally have not gotten to Dragon's Eye yet but I am sure Ziltyor the beholder would be a doosy as he likes to cast this spell. Also remove any weapons and shields from your spellcasters before you try this glitch as you can't remove them while the spell is in effect.

    2. Enchanters can actually memorize and cast Evocation spells even though the game says it's a forbidden school to them.

Not sure if this also has been discovered, but it is true. Of my party's three spellcasters, one of them is an Enchanter and when I gave her some scrolls once right-clicked a scroll of an Evocation spell(which was highlighted in red as it was a spell that was supposedly forbidden to her), and it had the "Write Magic" option. So I had her write the spell and voila, it worked. I've had her memorize and cast other evocation spells(like Fireball) since.

Be sure to try this if you have an Enchanter in your party. It might work for one or a few other specialist wizards, but I also had an Illusionist and this glitch did not work for him with his forbidden schools.

if your enchanter has another class level of something, then evocation will be enabled again. works with all specialist mages.
the other glitch i never heard of.

Hmm.. kinda makes sense, actually. Quite a few games have glitches in how they calculate durations over rest periods, such as Ultima 7 allowing the use of Serpent Venom (+5 to all stats) to permanently increase your abilities.

Mordy's sword has pretty respectable damage, even more so if your character lacks the STR to make the standard ranged weapons to really shine.

Hmm you could be right about that as my enchanter also has a few levels of cleric but my illusionist has one level of rogue and like I said, he still cannot learn spells from his forbidden schools

You need at least one level of another caster class. Rogue doesn't count.
