It seems like two got the death penalty and four others are going to prison. Still, it seems strange that the true perpetrators of the attack cannot be effectively punished, being dead as they are. I suppose getting those who aided in the planning is the next best thing.

I find that an odd thing to say. I think being dead is punishment enough for their (IMO) foolishness.

I would much rather get the people who are (again IMO) deluding these poor people into giving up their lives for the cause.

But they don't think they are punished by being dead. In their minds, they are going to Nirvana and getting 72 (or something like that) virgins for all eternity. True, someone made them believe that, but from what I understand, most militant Islamists truly believe being a martyr to the cause is the right thing to do. I don't think you can change people's religious principles or religious mindset (and I know Islam is supposed to be a religion of peace) by arresting a few other people involved, or even putting them to death.

To me, the worst thing that can happen to these people is to get caught red-handed, just before they can initiate the attack, and then have them rot in prison for the rest of their lives. They don't kill anyone, they don't get the 72 virigns, and are considered failures by their countrymen and to their religion.
