Just wondering if anyone has gone through the game with the aid of the vampire guild?? If so, does it drastically change the storyline?

 

If you take the theives guild or the vampires guild is doesnt really matter... both will get ya to the same place.. but the vamps would be more for an evil party... due to some quests you can undertake

In the vamps you are sent to kill people (one of the quests is kill some innocent guy)
the Theives guild basically your killing defectees.. stuff like that

 

Thanks, I have beaten the game once, now I was just wondering if it would be interesting to try the diferent options (with the vamps.)

 

I don't remember killing anyone innocent. Basically you kill all the thieves.

 

Say, woudn't vamp be a good kit for evil monks

 

I got a choice to take an evil quest or a good quest when I went with the vamps.
Don't remember killing anyone other than the thief's leader Aran (I think it was).
I didn't kill anyone unless they attacked me.
No rep loss.

 

Anyone who joined the Shadow Thieves attempt to attack the leader? There is some hidden guy who can kill 3 members of the party in one round with whatever weapon he is using. Any idea what it is?

I don't know who he is Sylvus, but the same little bastard (or maybe is twin) is in the Mae'var Guild hall.

Cause some troble in there and your characters start exploding. I even tried to prepare for him by sumoning some party favors and he still balsted my party.

Has anyone killed him?

 

I haven't experinced him myself. But from what I've heard he is one of those Bioware "game controls" like the one who collects Drizz's stuff. I've seen the cheatcode for his weapon somewhere which is supposed to be a +1000 weapon with immunity against most things.
In other words don't bother him, you don't stand a chance.

 

Ahhhhh HA! The old "little weasle bastard hiding behind the +1000 wepon" I believe the enchanted blade is known as "enforcer of what the almighty and all knowing programmer intended you to do" Or "Veggi-matic" for short.

I highly reccomend anyone that thinks they are really badass take on you little thief friend.

I actually took a second to look at my post above... boy does my typing suck!

 

A friend of mine came across him while I was over at his place and he called me to his system, where he told me that himself and 3 other party members were all killed by this one little guy on the screen.

Of course, I was baffled of such strength.

I would assume, if he has such a weapon of deathly damage +1000, he won't be able to be killed either and is one of those lovely characters who always are "Near Death".

i think they added him so you dont destroy the game. say you go to aran linvail when you pay gaelan bayle and try to kill him. if you do kill him the game is over because he, or bodhi, are the link to the asylum. bodhi wouldnt be able to ask you to kill him if you already did, so that wouldnt work.

 

Hmm, I might go with the vamps this time round, i never was looking forward to going after them in my first game, (Phycho Bob the fighter is now deceased, he is now Phycho Bob the second, a monk)
