And its going to be developed by Obsidian too (yay). Although I can't exactly be too excited that they are going to make it the "the same type of game" (boo). Wasn't exactly thrilled by the "pseudo shooter not very good fps and fps rpg" engine.

Sounds awesome. Need more PC games to come out that don't suck.

Sorry about that, Tal - I didn't see our news until I posted the link above. I like Fallout 3. I just about finished the game and I've been to almost all the areas on the DC map, but I think I'm going to start over when the final DLC comes out on May 3rd. I'm also going to play on highest difficulty this time. Towards the end, I was sneaking up on everyone and putting plasma grenades in their pockets...then I laughed and laughed!

You know, that evil kind of laugh...

After ten years of playing Fallout 2 (I'm taking a break from 3 to try the restoration project atm) I must say I'm glad Fallout games are in the works, that is good news.

New Vegas sounds a lot like New Reno. ;)

This could be something great, but the starting point is anything but good. Especially if they are going to use the same system as in Fallout 3. Hines also said that "it will be the same sort of role-playing game experience seen in Fallout 3". So, I expect the worst, which would be another Fallout 3.

I didn't/don't think F3 was terrible. It gets a little boring after you stop leveling, mostly because there's nothing in the game that can really hurt you very much by then. There are some cool side quests, a lot of territory to cover and see, and some pretty funny parts and NPCs.

I like it. I stopped playing until the final DLC comes out, but mostly because the level caps goes up to 30. I'll probably be playing on the highest difficulty setting too.

Highest difficulty and mods that delay the effect of stims and increase spawns can really make the game more challenging: try facing 20 raiders when you can only take one stimpak at a time and it only heals a few hitpoints per second. ;)
