    There are already tournemts, why not make it offical?

    It's a good idear, and it may actully create a sport I think will be worth watching on TV.

    well Starcraft was/is a sport in south korea. imho if chess,poker, dart, snooker/billiard can be a sports with big tournaments then i cant see why computergames shouldn't be. there is allready lots of "sports" that dosn't really require physical exercise.

    If a computer can play something against a human, that's not a sport - it's a game.

    Although some sports don't require physical excursion or fitness, they require physical skill. I.e. darts, hitting a tiny target from a distance. Skill of the body. Gaming requires clicking buttons - that can not be a sport. Hence why chess isn't a sport, it's a game... you can teach a monkey to move a chess piece, you can't teach a monkey to hit a 180 or drop a long pot in, in snooker.

    In that case Barmy, I would challenge you to a scrim in Counter-strike:source :)

    an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

    It takes quite a bit of skill believe me,I would say that this is comparative to darts Barmy. Your aiming for heads, needing to move and stop the mouse in the right places, right speed, and if you move the crosshairs fast enough, you can't see it so its a reflex shot.


    I've been to a couple LAN's for it and played it competitively for quite a while(former CEVO-M player and CAL-im for source and CAL-p for 1.6) I can tell you it takes alot of skill and tactics to play...you can watch demos and movies of different players/teams and such.

    just a frag video, not even the best, but it shows some amazing skill shots and reflex shots during matches(CAL-Invite).
