    Has there been a verdict? Assuming he was guilty, that's the problem with using a jury of your peers. They may pass all the requirements to be on the jury but they might be dumb asses. There also may have been reasonable doubt. The verdict would be not guilty, not necessarily innocent. It's semantics, I know, but it's a important distinction in the American judicial system.

    I haven't followed the trial, but I've heard that legal experts have stated that, given the evidence, the most reasonable sentence is 'not guilty'...

    i had just read in the new york times they found him innocent, maybe I mis-read .. but they have eye witnesses and love letters, what kind of psycho writes love letters to children??? ah... but I digress, it's just OJ all over again

    (I was thinking of posting this in the politics board, but wacko doesn't have anything to do with politics, unless there's a media board that I missed, sorry)

    My news headline scroller just has "No verdict yet from Jackson jury" so If there has been a verdict it can't have been very long ago.

    I've been watching the news all morning....no mention of it here yet. And give the proclivity of the media for sensationalism in this country, I wouldn't be surprised if all programming would be interrupted with "This is a (your favorite network) special report", implying a national crisis had occurred. :rolleyes:
