[IMG] If you read The Dark Elf trilogy the first house that the Do'urdens destroyed the ones named Devir right(something like that)? Is Viacona from the Baldurs Gate series related to them, and is that why she went to the surface?

Anyway there is another DiVir...But I have forgotten her first name, wow that sounded like starwars!

Luke, there is another... DiVir... You have a sister...

[IMG] It's Viconia DeVir (notice that this is the only correct spelling).

And yes, her family was destroyed in Salvatore's book.

Drizzt's House left a lot of hole it seems. They let the mage dude (whose name escapes me) go too. :p

Viconia of no house worth mentioning.

If you remember the books Drizzt's family attacked the DeVirs afer they fell out of Lloth's favour, and the game provides a nice explanation as to why.

I have never taken Viconia into the Underdark . . actually I have never had her in my party.

What explanation does BG2 give for why her house was destroyed?

I didn't say that. I said it gave an explanation why it fell out of Lloth's favour in the first place and thus became vulnerable to attack from house Do'Urden. It happens if you romance Viconia.

So fill me in, I don't have the time to romance Viconia. :p

    [IMG] This would make sense:

Viconia left the underdark a while before the attack on House DeVir by House Do'Urden was co-ordinated. She ran from the underdark, even though she retained her evil-ness. Only other survivor was her and Alton DeVir. This caused her and her house to fall out of Lolth's Favour.

    Now tell me this:

In BG2, she says she fell victim of vicious drow politics. And in the underdark, 2nd floor of the Inn..
there are 3 Dark elves belonging to House DeVir!!

*sigh*, these Book-to-Game conversions never work. Wait 'til they try a Baldurs Gate Movie......

Well they ARE in a cage. Although that implies that BG2 happens round the time that house DeVir was destroyed which is silly coz Drizzt was one day old at the time.

    As for Viconia : SPOILER:
    .

Apparently she refused to sacrifice somthing or other to Lloth (I think a human child) so that pissed the spider-queen off. Then Viccy was supposed to be sacrificed but her brother saved her (a male?!). Now that REALLY pissed off Lloth, destroyed the house DeVir and made the godess send a yochlol (which was ridiculously easy to beat) after Viccy. Or somesuch.
