Uhm... I don't think so. It's more likely that the net is just an easier, faster way for people to exercise the promiscuity that's already a part of them. Not cause and effect. Just a more effective tool.

[IMG] Internet chat is loosers hangout. Those who dare not approach those of other sex can do it on the net. Hence I agree with the article.

Present company excluded of course :holy: :p

    Ah, chico.

I can't think of an argument against Internet chat that would not also apply to Internet bulletin boards.

[IMG] *slaps Nobleman* Wake up, boy! You can't even begin to make a generality like that, since you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. :toofar:

People chat online for all sorts of reasons, which I don't feel the need to go into now. But to say that those who don't dare to approach someone are losers is shallow, rude, and just plain stupid. Not everyone has the nerve to just walk up to someone and ask for a date. (In fact, I'd bet that most people don't).

Being shy doesn't make someone a loser. Opening one's big mouth and testifying to one's own ignorance, well.... :shame:

    I can.

The Chat is for the sexually frustrated. The board is for the mentally frustrated.

    :heh:

Real life socialising is for ordinary people. Internet socialising is for weird people.

So I must be both mentally frustrated and weird and has a slight sexually frustration.

YAY I am a master shrink

EDITED HERE: Ok Silly it is a joke. of course the article is BooCrap and of course shy people are not worse person. Sheeesh.

    [IMG] You're an idiot. :p

EDIT: Thank you, dear. ;) I just don't find it funny, since I happen to have 2 friends who are painfully shy, and they've erroneously labeled themselves with nearly the exact words you used above. It's not something I take lightly. :nono:

[IMG] You forget the two unwritten rules...

Rule #1: Moderators & admins are always right.
Rule #2: When moderators & admins are not right, see rule #1.

Besides, I agree with Darien. It's not funny.

Hey! You wrote the unwritten rules! Now they're not unwritten!

    This is utter chaos!

(As opposed to sour milk at a dairy farm, which is udder chaos.)
