Well, after much procrastination from my dad and me, we've finally made the switch from CompuServe to MSN 8. With this wonderful change, I no longer have to worry about being spontaneously kicked off, or creating errors in CompuServe just by clicking on links found on IRC, or other reasons. No more slow connection speeds (I still have a 56K modem, but until now it would only connect at 48K), no more lousy tech support, and no more yearly contracts...I am free! Man, life really is better with the butterfly! :p :rolling:

AOL 7.0??? What, are you still using the 1040 free hours?

Anyway, today it was time to call up CompuServe and cancel our account with them. As soon as I said the word, "cancel", the guy on the other end of the line immediately tried to get me to agree to another 3 year contract! I kept telling him, "No, thanks", but he still kept trying to sell it to me. So I finally just said, "Look, I'll agree to keep CompuServe, as long as you will pay the bill every month." Needless to say that he agreed to remove our account as well as remove our phone # and address from their contact lists. :D :rolling:
