I've updated my anti virus (well Another guy, at the my PC shop since the first time he installed 2002 and I've paid for 2003), Norton Anti virus 2003 yesterday and all is working right. Only this morning I've found that my recycle bin has changed to ¨Norton Protected recycle bin¨ and I just don't understand it, when I want to empty it it say ¨There 1019 protected file total on drive C. You have 514 protected file on drive C¨ And after I have the choice to ¨Purge Yours¨ ¨Purge All¨ or ¨Cancel¨
WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! I want me old Recycle bin :wail:

    Also I've got Win XP.

I've seen the same thing happen under Windows ME.

Norton never did that to my 98SE though. Must have something to do with Windows.

We had something wrong with our antivirus. I don't think it affected the recycle bin, but it didn't let us upload things, or use stuff like media player and powerpoint.

This is a feature of Norton system works don't worry just when you right click the bin you will see an option saying empty recycle bin. I am not so sure because i never tried it but if you open systemworks there must be an option to leave the recycle bin alone.
This feature is supposed to protect you from viruses and accidental erases. Don't worry you will get used to it just don't click on purge all unless you want something really bad to happen ;)
