What ARE the most Powerful Items.....

Alright we have all been playing this game like Nypho's (well me sorta ) and some of us have beaten it and some of us are still adventuring.

WHAT Items DO YOU think are the most Useful, Powerful, Rare, etc...

Let me Know.

So far in my game i like:

Flail of the Ages +3
DragonsBane +3
Cloak of Non-Detection
Ring of Invisibility


So many more, let's get a good forum going, i want to know what the most effective items are from the ones who are Experienced using them here.

The Kurgan

 

I'd have to say the Vampiric Sword that, with every hit, drains d10 points and returns it to heal the weilder.

Of course, this powerful weapon shouldn't be spoken of, its location well hidden from power gamers who would love to get their hands on it.

Id have to say the +3 katana has to be the most powerful (least 1 handed weapon) then for 2 handed the talking sword, or the Equalizer

 

Hands down, the most powerful weapon in the game is Crom Faeyr. Here's why:

1-handed weapon

1d4+1, with an additional +8 to-hit and damage bonus.

Instantly kills Giants and Golems (and Trolls? I forget)

Sets strength of its wielder to 25. This gives you an additional +7 to hit and +14 to damage!!

 

Well...

Cloak of Mirrors-(I ALWAYS SAY THIS ONE)
Staff of the Magi-(makes holder invisible, other spells too)
Robe of Vecna-(reduces casting time by 4)
Ring of the Ram-(No save against damage, throws opponent backwards)

1-holy avenger=(%50 magic resistance and +5two handed? I'm in
2-cloak of mirrors=give it to Keldorn with Carsomyr and ring of gaxx; you will have the ultimate wizard slayer..
3-crom faeyr= can't beat the thaco and damage bonus of str 25
4-ring of gaxx= amazing regeneration rate,+2 saving throws rocks...

 

Celestial Fury is awesome

 

the red dragon plate is good -1 ac AND you can use a +2 ring or cloak of protection with it. combine that with the ring of ganx and you have -5 ac w/o any dex or helmet bonuses. the shadow dragon lether is also good for thieves and rangers.

another awesome item you can't get is edwin's amulet. +2 spells of every level. remove the cap get him to level 18 and bang FOUR level 9 spells to cast

the holy avenger is annoying me, it's 50% magic resistance keeps canceling the +10% magic from the ring of ganx and that one pendent. i SHOULD have 70% resistance all the time but when i load and at other times, it gets reset to 50% and i have to unequip and reequip the pendant and ring. but that does mean it isn't a kick ass weapon.
