There's that test on a women site... Hey, don't look at me like that! I found it in google by mere accident! :p

It says I'm a double espresso. How surprising.

Here's the link to the description: http://www.yournewromance.com/doubleespresso.html . Yeah, it's permanent. On a side note, the site is probably a nice example of the tricks of the webdesigner's trade with probably fake html extension masking a php script with dynamic includes. Anyway, go take the test if you care.

Other tests on that site will help you divine if your guy is cheating on you and what kind of bra you are.

I must say that to my girlfrend and see how will she react. :)
But I think I am caring boyfriend.

What did you answer on 2. question? :)
    I'm just curious.

I had a hard time balancing between deciding simply what turns me off in men and putting it in there, and divagating on what puts me off in men now that I'm male and how it would be affected by looking out for a mate if I were female... in the end I decided it was too laid back.

They were all tricky and perhaps the "too" factor played a role. You know, there are various kinds of out of shape and not all are permanent, and not all are due to laziness or lack of care. Unwilling to try new things can also adopt many forms, not all of them meaning he/she is too lazy to get the brain to work (some people are extremely conservative, reserved, withdrawn or simply need more stimulus). Job obsession can cause problems, but the person at least likes what he (she) is doing, gives a damn about something, tries to achieve something in life... that isn't bad, it's only the way some people overdo this. High maintenance doesn't have to be bad, either. So long as the rules are equal for both persons in the relationship and no one is being used, it's fine. Heck, even very laid back isn't necessarily oh so bad. So yeah, perhaps the "too" as "overly" factor decided. I imagine a "too laid back" person as someone who can't behave and had better not be shown in polite company. Like, I don't know, belching or passing winds around people, using crappy language, overly fraternising calling everyone "dude", "dog" or "bro"... something like that.

You Are a Plain Ole Cup of Joe

But don't think plain - instead think, uncomplicated
You're a low maintenance kind of girl... who can hang with the guys
Down to earth, easy going, and fun! Yup, that's you: the friend everyone invites.

Peppermint Cappuccino. Didn't read what it said, just took the test for a joke. I don't even drink the stuff. But I did once have a thing for the English toffee Cappuccinos at Tim Hortons...

I don't drink coffee so that made answering a few of those questions very much in the what if realm but my results were a plain ole cup of joe. I guess that sound reasonable.

Hey Energizer Bunny Girl! Do you ever slow down?
You're a mix of high energy and ambition, perfectly matched with strong espresso
When you want something you get it - by any means possible
You're driven, determined, and no nonsense. Which is just how you like your java.

    Bunny Girl WTF?

I guess it is because I would never be attracted to a guy that is out of shape! ahahhaha

Otherwise nice test, but the first question ruined it for me: "Where do you get your coffee?" I don't drink coffee, so why would I get any? :shake:

I'm a plain ole cup of joe.
Anyway, I've looked the site over, and there are soooo many contradictory statements that I cannot help being overwhelmed. I will assume that the site is being written and maintained by women.
    1. On one hand, the site tries to keep with the trend of being feministic, on the other -- they encourage (nay -- force!) women to find a mate.
    2. Love always has to be unlucky. Why is there a question of "what do you do after a major break-up" in one of the quizzes, and right next to it there's an ad for singles site? It's stupid and discouraging -- what woman will be interested in looking at your advert?
    3. Women always have to wear sexy/skimpy outfits when they go somewhere, as one the "What kind of sexy are you?" test suggests.
    4. Women should watch sex in the city -- another reason for my opinion of contradiction on their site (the show in itself is contradictory).
    5. The only cities it's cool to live in do not differ much from each other (New York, Paris, LA, Orlando, Amsterdam), yet the choice plays a major role in deciding "what kind of bra you are."
    6. Women do not read books. When you babysit, you have to choose from amongst five magazines -- four of which that do not differ much from each other -- certainly, they promote the same agenda -- the fifth one is a TV Guide.

I know I'm thrusting this discussion into the realm of Dangerous Angles, but I would ask the women here to answer -- are you predominantly feminists, predominantly housewives, or are you trying to fit both into one sack? (it doesn't -- cannot -- work that way, ladies!)

Though the test was 'only a wee bit of fun' I can see your point Toughluck. The answers were very limiting and even sexist.

If you go to www.womengamers.com you see similar contraditions in game reviews (I found this by performing a search on Planescape Torment).

Anyway I should have been a 'latte' or at worse an Irish coffee!

Well, toughluck... I guess that's what we call the Universal Feminine Modifier. ;)

Well, when they finally get a guy that will put up with them, they don't need to be feministic anymore. ;)

And the truth is that not much of a feminist remains in the woman if she gets to face a good old-fashioned gentleman. :D

That's a part of the science. Some people believe that love is hopeless, but they still feel a need always to be in a relationship. And then there's always the hope factor. Plus, not everyone is looking out for love, either. The ads will work...

Hehe, you missed one contradiction. ;) In the Hottie Corner, they tell women how to prepare good photos to show guys (online?). The author says you shouldn't present bare legs or shoulders or belly (IIRC) or it will give guys the wrong hint.

I think in this case it's about self-esteem on one hand and the desperate wish to find a mate on the other. They think skimpy outfits will help find a guy, but they feel they are cheapening themselves by using bare skin as a bait.

I suppose it's a cultural thing, not even a matter of intellectual limitations. Being average, celebrating your own average-ness and having no pretence to anything better than that... except some underlying hope of one day finding the perfect guy who will magically put an end to all your problems... :D ;)

Another problem is, what expectations would the perfect guy have to have, if he's such a great catch himself? The site doesn't seem to cover this. ;)

Yeah, if a male wrote them, he would be dubbed male chauvinist pig, no doubt. :D

So will the woman (if it was indeed a woman that had written the tests) be dubbed a female chauvinist pig, or not?

    *sigh*

As far as I can see, that site is just trying to attract as many people as possible, and thus takes a very broad approach - "something for everyone" kind of thing that makes it more or less contradictory.
