What rules does Kangaxx follow?

    [​IMG] I would like to see a run down on Kangaxx's stats. The first few times I fought him and got destroyed sent me to my old AD&D books to check up Demilich. Obviously Kangaxx does not follow these rules. Holy word does nothing to Kangaxx, all +4 weapons do 2-3 points of damage. Vorpal blades do nothing.I eventually defeated him after running here like a freaking streaker thru Anchorage in December to get info.Anyone have the real deal defences on this pain in the buttocks.

    Kangaxx the Demi-Lich, Level 27 Abjurationist...

    STR 10
    DEX 10


    ...ah forget it, his stats are pointless, what's important are his immunities...

    * 90% resistance to all physical damage. This is why you do so little damage when you hit him, e.g. if you were to normally do 20 damage you will only do 2 damage to Kangaxx.

    * Immunity to ALL spells.

    * Requires a +4 or better weapon to hit.

    * Is immune to "slay", which I assume means vorpal hits, but I have heard that the upgraded Mace of Disruption (which hits as +5) can kill him outright?

    You get to fight one of the, if not the, thoughest foes that are in the game (I think it shouldn't be called a foe, but still..), and than you get some neat treasure, that compensate for your loss of 4hrs real time, and heavy duty realoading, trying to kill the bastard.

    [​IMG] Umm... hehe... how do you upgrade the mace of disruption? I want to go after Kangaxx soon you see, but I don't have a single +4 or better weapon yet. ;) Going after Carsomyr after I've completed the Underdark...

    To upgrade the mace of disruption you have to get the illithium ore (get the quest in the church of helm) and the mace of desruption and get to Cromwell (docks districkt).

    When you get the quest go and find real illithium first but then try to cheat the artist with the fake one the blacksmith makes for you. He will notice and leave town, but you will still get the reward of you quest when you get to the temple and report. Then your quest is solved and you have the illithium left. You find the mace of distruption in the blood pool in the graveyard.

    Ahh, 90% damage resistance. That explains alot. Guess he's not really a demilich, just something similar. Is the other one the same as Kangaxx?
