Indeed, however you get Cutthroat late in the game. Arbane's Sword, (+2, immune to hold, Haste wearer once a day) you get early in the game (from a party that attacks you in Atkhala) and the Short Sword of Backstabbing +3 you can get get also early, from Renal Bloodscalp, after you've completed the Mae'var quest.

A link to all short swords and their locations: http://www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgateii/equipment/shortswords.php

BUT!! The walkthrough and Guide's section here at SP is quite rich on info, to which Short swords are in the game. http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index.php

My personal advice, is to keep her own sword (immune to slow and stun effects) and Arbane's sword (immune to hold) and perhaps a +3 or +4 sword. There is no single most powerfull short sword in the game, IMHO. Take advantage of her quick item slots.

[IMG] For now use a one of the short swords recommended above.
Once she gets new proficiencies give her two in:
Flail, for Flail of Ages (unless someone else in your party is better suited for it).
    or
War Hammer, for Crom Fayer (unless someone else in your party is better suited for it).

I like blunt weapon types and the above two weapons are two of my favorites. :)
