[IMG] It says on numerous old posts that you have discussed this guy extensively but I can't find that one at all... he can't be killed? Doesn't time-stop work? I'm not a power gamer but mysterious things will keep me curious for a long time (like Darth Sidious in Star Wars)

Why am I a "Watcher Level 0" by the way? A person of my capabilities should be higher.

What is your favourite quest in the game?

Mine would be the one in the under water city where you can side with the Prince or the King. Or even better perhaps is the Underdark. You are working for the Dragon in disguise and at the same time can choose to work for either Phare or her Mother (although it would have been nice to be able to end that truly evilly - without the demon outing you). I think I might kill the dragon this time round. The level of intrigue in these quest is amazing. I double crossed both Phare and her mother... does Saemon give you a the second set of fake eggs? Coz I killed him this time round (sh*t) :(

You can't kill him as he's there to prevent you disrupting the plot by killing important high ranking thieves early on.

I hit the guy for over a 1000 points of damage......and still he kept coming.

So he is immune to damage? What if you take him to fight Bhodi and he gets killed? Can you then go back and kill Renal, Aran et al? can you pick up his amazing blade?

I posed a similar question on a different board some time ago. Apparently his "amazing blade" is just a +2 sword. To receive his help you must already be aligned with Aran etc and you will find he's no longer immune to damage by that time.

When I had my original battle with him he was only hitting me for 12 or so damage but even 12 points will kill party members outright prior to your joining the thieves.

PS. You don't take him to fight Bodhi nor can he join your party. Aran sends him and some mates along to assist you. You meet up with them in a room in the vampire crypts. I killed nearly everyone before meeting up with the thieves as they take a large chunk of available XP if they waste the vampires for you.

[IMG] I like the Umar Hills and the main quest there for the wonderful atmosphere. First a tranquil rural village and then the spooky dark forest and dungeon. A good story too.

I do the mini-quest "Find a Caretaker for Risa" every time. How can you resist the pleading eyes of a little girl?

"Find a caretaker for Risa" ? Oh goodie, I have no clue what you are talking about. I figured I hadn't done everything my first time through. Well don't tell me the details I'll try to find that one sometime. I fought some Liches but I know I never fought this Kangaax guy everyone always talks about either.
Hmmm favorite quest. That is hard I like a lot,but the quests inside the Planar Sphere, Spellhold, and Suldanesselar are my favorite. All the Underdark quests fall in behind those. Thumbs up for Trademeet and Umar Hills too.
But definately my least favorite quests are the Unseeying Eye and not as bad but somewhat not my cup of tea since the first time I did it...Nalia's Keep.

I didn't like the Unseeingeye much either... hate beholders see. I hated the Druid Grove first time round with my party of the infamous bard Nyladin, Minsc, Failed Anomen, Cernd and Jan because it was the second quest I undertook and I only had about three fire spells. Jan had only just joined too so he kept dying all the time (not that he ever stops ;))

people say that the planar sphere is the best but i think it sucks. I thnik the under water city, drow city, and the trademeet quest, it has a lot to do and a lot to give at the same time, and did anyone try to take the drow equipment with them to the surface in the bag of holding, just wondering.

Yes I did......and subsequently lost the Wave Halberd Blade. As the Drow items turn to dust they take up more than 1 item slot and so dump items on the floor to make way for the dust itself....Be careful.

[IMG] I'm a Ranger/Cleric, so I think the Umar Hills were pretty cool, plus I got the shack and I'm now the HRIC in Immesvale. Other than that, Trademeet was cool, and the Skinner quest. I've enjoyed all of the major battles, too.

1 drow item = 1 pile of adamantine dust. When my items disintegrated, they did not even unequip, so I don't think it was the disintegration that lost you the item. More likely you received something w/o realizing it.

I'll have to edit this later when I finally decide what the best quest was.

Best area: Umar Hills -- although I wasn't a Ranger, this area was calling me to make it my home. I will definitely have to play through again as an Archer.

Best music: Tentatively, I'd say Temple of Lathander. Had to reproduce it on keyboard after I heard it for the first time.

Best sequence: Not sure... but every time Irenicus started experimenting on Imoen or otherwise messing with her, my blood started boiling. The game had me seeing red and threatening Irenicus with all sorts of slow and painful deaths -- completely unworthy thoughts for my cleric to be having. Blame it on his Berserker heritage.
