    [IMG] I know you all spend hours upon hours rolling for stats, and at least once you should have had an insane stat roll.

    Mine was on a female fighter who I never used:

    Str: 18/00 (I don't believe it myself!)
    Dex: 17
    Con: 18
    Int: 17
    Wis: 10
    Cha: 15

    For a grand total of 95.

    So, whats yours?

    STR 18/2?
    DEX 18
    CON 18
    INT 13
    WIS 18
    CHA 18

    Total of 103, but I didn't keep it because the exceptional strength wasn't exceptional enough for me (18/76 min. with really good stats, 18/91 min. normally).

    Yeah well, the exceptional strength doesn't matter once you get the strength belts.

    I think I once got 101 for a bard. But I never used that character, so I don't remember very well. Most characters I play have totals between 88 and 91. If I get a total of 93 or higher, I generally won't use the stat-increasing tomes (I play Tutu).

    Wow, I think about 100 was my highest ever, but there are some amazing rolls here.

    If you want great scores, roll him/her up in BGI and import the character. That's +8 on your stats!

    Hmm...for me it was:

    Str 18
    Dex 18
    Con 18
    Int 18
    Wis 18
    Cha 18

    But that was using the cheat. ;) :p

    As for actual rolls from clicking non-stop, I think the highest I've ever gotten was in the mid 90's. :rolling:

    Wow man... Highest roll I've ever made was 91, I think.. 91-2 anyway... Highest PnP roll I've ever made is 84.

    I can't believe you folks really had the patience to sit and roll those stats.

    How long do most of you people roll? I mean, I don't think I've ever got into the mid-90s. I'm usually very happy with a total of 90, and I find anything over 85 to be very doable. Plus, it's not like you NEED to have that high of stats. As an example, let's say you want your prime stat to be 18. Even if you want other important stats like dexterity to be 18, and constitution to be either 16 or 18 (depending on class) you can then get away with 10s in everything else. So let's say you're playing a fighter (as they do require 18 instead of 16 con for maximum hp benefit). You get an 18/xx for strength, 18 dex, 18 con. It's perfectly reasonable to accept 10s for int, wis, and cha. That's 84 total, and a very playable character.

    EDIT: The only time that rolling for high stats becomes problematic is if you want to dual class your character, or if you are playing a multi-class (especially a 3 class multi-class). Some are more problematic than others. If you were a fighter, wanting to dual class to a thief, it's no big deal, because you probably wanted 18's in both strength and dexterity anyway. However, if you wanted a fighter dual-classed to a wizard, now you're looking at a much more difficult to attain total of 92. Still with some patience I suppose that's doable. I'd hate to see someone try to roll a "perfect" FMC tri-classed character. Assuming you wanted 18s in your three main attributes, 18 in dex and 18 in con, you'd be looking at 18s in everything except charisma, and if you wanted an average score of 10 there, you need 100 total points, which to me seems virtually unattainable.

    EDIT2: My next game is going to be with a halfling assassin. I will use the tombs, and by the end of BG, I don't want any of my stats to be under 10. Therefore, I have minimums of

    Strength = 15 (If I can get it to 17 great, but no big deal if I can't - I just want to be able to carry a decent amount of stuff.)
    Dexterity = 19
    Constitution = 15
    Intelligence = 9
    Wisdom = 7
    Charisma = 9

    That's a whopping total of 74, and I'd likely get that on my first roll. In fact, I probably could easily get the strength to 17, as that only requires 76.

    Actually, I don't really roll THAT much unless i'm rping a character and they just happen to have ridiculous stats. Normally I just take three 18's and three 10's and be happy with it :)

    I agree. I have never even bothered to add up my stats so I wouldn't even know whether I had 70 or 90. I have never rolled more thabout 4 times and just take one that looks like it might be OK.

    This game is so full off unbalanced stat-enhancing items that your original stats are not that important anyway.

    Allthough I sometimes work hard rolling stats I tend to end around 87-89. My highest die hit was a 93.

    A mod downgrading many statincreasing items would be nice.

    The highest stats I rolled were last night.

    Str: 18/00
    Dex 19
    Con 17
    Int 18
    Wis 18
    Cha 10

    My character was going to be a F/M/T. To bad I didn't keep this character. Right now my goal is to finish BG1 with Abdel and than get him through BG2, etc...

    Edit: Adjusted class

    Some PCs have crazy stat requirements (pally, bard) that you have to have high rolls for anyway. I'm usually multi or dual classing. The hardest class to roll for imo is a F/D. Multi isn't so bad, but for a dual? :nuts:
