After yet another question about the gem ranks, I'm wondering why that thread hasn't been deleted. How bad does a topic have to be before it gets deleted? (as supposed to just being closed)

Threads typically don't get deleted unless there's something offensive in them that we don't feel people need to see. Or if we're in a bad mood of course :)

Threads get closed instead of deleted, so that those reading it can see what we feel is not appropriate, and usually, why.

If we deleted all those posts, all we'd get is inundated with posts saying "Hey! Where's my post; I'm sure I saw it a minute ago! Oh, well, I'll just post the identical thing again." Followed by people saying "Hey dufus! Your post was deleted because of such and such! What an idiot!" Followed by "Hey you ****! Don't call me a dufus! How the **** was I supposed to know it was deleted!" And so on :)

Ah, ok. That's a good sensible reason. Thanks

Well people could post all that in the POR forum, then someone would actually post there. :p

LOL Jesper. Don't pick on poor POR when no one cares enough to defend it!

BTA ... nice parody of the typical idiocy that accompanies most threads. You have too much experience with idiots!

This was really good information to my, because most of the times my topics get closed.
A friend of mine is banned, so I now know how to behave to be not banned.
    Thnks.

[IMG] Alloas From Hawai, I suspect you're the banned Boo, so you will get banned as soon as you make one wrong step, which probably won't last long. I guess reading the FAQ and Forum Rules is not something you'll stoop down to.
