    [IMG] Hi,
I'm at the end of chapter 3, but I still have a bunch of side quests to do (little boy from Umar, animals at Trademeet...). I would like to go get Imoen, but I get the impression it is going to take a while. Will I still be able to complete these quests when I get back? Does anyone get mad that I took so long to come help?

    Thanks,
    bliab

Yes, it will take a long time to get Imoen.
AFAIK, no-one gets annoyed with you taking a long time to come and do their quest, and you will be able to do them after you've got Imoen (assuming you come back ;))

    SPOILER

Actually I think you shouldn't be able to spend lots of time doing side quests after coming back from saving Imoen - you should be forced to go after Irenicus as a matter of urgency (and take penalties the longer you wait - remember how ill you get after he first works his magic on you). That way you'd miss the side quests (unless you'd already done them), but the game could compensate for that by letting you do them after the final battle.
    Just a thought.

As I saw - you'll be able to do any side quest later. But not quite.

There are two random encounters you don't get after saving Imoen.
First one is Bounty Hunters encounter where you find a nifty sword in hunters' female leader inventory.
Second one is to deliver poisoned man to Harpers Hold in Docks District whinch turns on another side quest - Xzar and Montaron plans.

So, if you encountered those two before - you can go for Imoen with no fear.

    [Edit]
There is no rush to go for Imoen! Take your time, advance a few levels, find some nifty equipment. Or do all quests then go to save Imoen!
Almost nothing in the game is time limited (just few things like returning Anomen or meetings in Underdark...). But you'll be told about it of course, and you'll keep it in mind.
