    ello, i myself started on the interplay boards, and found this(SP) later on, but didn't use it before interplay got closed.

    so, wich board did you start posting on? the old BIS boards? interplay? or just stummbled upon this? or something else?

    I was a planetmedalofhonor resident, it was fun in the beginning, with a lot of active members, but it slowly bled dry. I still check it every now and then, but the old days will never return.

    Chosen of Mystra is my first forum where I started to be an active (very active :p ) poster. Also I'm registered lurker at Gibberlings 3 and Spellhold Studios, Metal Storm and few other minor forums.

    For contemporary Boards I'd have to say that The Banzai Institute for Advanced Armored Warfare got me first - though BoM has taken an equal focus for me, each having its advantages (BIfAAW's smaller and 'cozier', whereas BoM has fora about everything! :D )

    As for putting messages up on an 'electronic bulletin board' format; I'm an old USENET veteran, though the newsgroups I used to frequent ( <alt.fan.monty-python> and <rec.games.mecha> )are essentially dead now...

    BOM was my origin and let me tell you I've visited others and it sacred me. I mean as far as I know BOM has the most quality member-wise.

    I spent about a year and a half on a fairly well-organised RPG forum, but then it got shut down and in my search for something to fill the emptiness I stumbled upon SP. It did a pretty good job..I can't even recall the name of that original forum. :shake:

    BoM is the first, last and only board that I have posted on. I have browsed some others and all I can say is that the garbage on them really makes me appreciate the great job that our moderators do here.

    Originated on the old UseNet newsgroups - alt.fan.monty-python, ASSM, one about MacDonald's ketchup and others I can't remember but are probably defunct. For the current boards (with pictures and stuff), I was on PPG for a while :nolike: and came to BoM for a friendlier atmosphere. :grin: I'm registered on a couple others, but I rarely go to them except for the odd d/l I can't get on SP.

    @AE - I'm frightened that we delurked in AFM-P. We know more about each other than we previously thought. :mommy: :lol:

    hmm.. afaik here :)

    tried at the official WotC forum for a while but when they started restricting talk about FR books that pissed me off and I left. I went to Candlekeep for about a week but the damn entrance music killed me :D

    If you want to know the first board I joined or posted in I do not remember. Probably one related to a Sierra game.

    But BoM is the first one I have been really active in. In fact there are only two other boards I participate in and not anywhere near as much as this one.!
