I've heard of a +5 Sling available in the game.

Can anyone tell me if its available in Chapter 2, or does it come in later chapters?

Do You mean the Sling of Everard? I think you can buy this from Joluv in Copper Coronet.

You need the collectors edition of course.

There is also the sling that you buy from Bernard. I havn't played the game in awhile, but I think it's +5 too. It gives you the str bonus to hit and damage, like a sword. I always give that one to Anomen or Jahiera (when she gets a str girdle, of course).

I guess you are talking about the sling of seeking, which has a +2 enchanment (only, in this case).

Missile weapons aren't too important for enchantments, since it's the missile's enchantment itself that determines what it can hit. The sling of Everard is too expensive for my tastes.

Yeah I just gave Jaheira a gloves of Ogre Strength over the weekend, and when we were fighting demons, her first hit did 30 HP damage! Because I had forgotten the girdle I made her wear, I totally did not know where that came from (she only has a +2 sling and 1 proficency slot for sling use)!

It could've been a critical hit, but with a good sling and some +2 bullets you can get a hit worth 30 almost all the time.
