Where the hell did my thread go? Why would it be deleted? I had a legitimate question related to BGII.

My thread was about getting the LAN in BGII to work. It complies with all the rules and thus, shouldn't have been deleted.

Do you mean the one that's almost two months old? Or did you have another?

For starters, you might try to be a bit more polite (it never pays to anger the Gods of Moderation). Next, go to the upper left corner from the BG2:ToB page and change the 'Show topic from last 20 days' to something much greater like 'Show topics from last 100 days.' You should be able to find it based on when the last post was added to it.

If that doesn't work, click on your name at the top of a page or the 'my profile & private messages' link to get to your profile page. Choose 'view recent posts' in the upper left corner. Your posts should be listed.

Edit: On a similar note, I have on many occasions had a post just vanish. Kind of eerie and further discussion of this phenomenon should go in the The SP Conspiracy Theory Thread.

    Yes, that's the one.

I'm not so bothered it was moved, just that noone informed me where it was moved to. Thanks.

Any time a thread is moved (as yours was), you will get an e-mail notification of its movement. Providing, of course, that the e-mail address you have on your account is one you check.

I checked my email (the one this is registered to) and I found no trace of notification in either my inbox or junk mail box.

Did you check your PM's? That's where the notification goes. Given that, when I moved your thread to the proper forum for it (*cough* read the rules and forum descriptions *cough*) I checked the box that sends you such a notification, I would be surprised if it were not there.

When you are on the Boards, towards the top of the screen should be a notification that you have one or more new PM's. Alternatively, you can just click on the part that says "my profile & private messages."

Given that this thread serves no useful purpose, it will be closed. ;)

[IMG] Just to clarify this a bit further; thread move notifications are only sent to your mail address on record, so I have to correct dmc above.

However, in this case, if you didn't get it, the issue is on your end, because mail is sent out here without fail.

Also, if "Allow Administrators and Moderators to send you email notices?" is off in your profile here, you wouldn't have received the notification mail.
