    Just is just a post to see which classes you guys have had the most fun playing.

    I am gonna start a new game soon, but I am at a loss to find a class that would be fun, but haven't used yet.

    So far, I've completed the game with, a pure Fighter, a Mage, a Sorceror, a Fighter/Mage, a Monk, an Avenger and a Fighter/Mage/Thief.

    Any that don't appear in that list that you've have great fun with? Was looking at a Wild Mage or a Bard or something myself. But open to suggestions of course.

    Cheers!

    The Skald was fun, though it could be just because of the roleplayingstatus of playing a Bard.

    Stalker was fun indeed, even if the F/T might be stronger, I felt quite cozy playing a Stalker :hippy:

    Kensai/Mage solo was fun, yet too easy. Though one of my funniest ways of playing BG2 was soloing a Halfling F/T using Shortbow, Shortsword and Halberd :lol:

    Sum of my rabblings:
    * Roleplaying pleasure: Bard (Skald)
    * Sneaking yet not a thief, fighting yet not a tank: Stalker.
    * Casting: Sorcerer
    * Tanking: Kensai
    * Überpowered: Kensai/mage

    Uh, sorry I'm ill, sentencebuilding is totaly gone :aww:

    Try a Paladin kit, Undead Hunter if you prefer not to follow the mainstream of other gamers. or Cavalier, since Keldorn is already an Inquisitor.

    I had a most enjoyable time playng Undead Hunter. Especially my one on one with Bodhi....

    Why not take a bard? :)
    I usually choose a Skald or a Jester.

    It depends on your way of playing. You want raw power or simple hacking, then maybe a bard isnt called for. But if you prever a very useful and highly interesting class which can pull of something in most situations, bards are just perfect. Bards are entertainers - I never get bored with them.

    I particularly enjoyed a fighter 9/thief x solo game though I didn't take him through the whole game. Easiest one was R/C multiclass solo.

    Greatest game was with my BG1 fighter, because it was my first time through :rolleyes:

    The Archer is incredebly fun - either solo or with a party.

    Fighter/Thieves are fun (multi)

    Fighter/Druid or Avenger were also one of the best I've found - though i used SK to combine the two.

    I sent Morsmorde a PM suggesting trying the Wild Mage, only to realize he mentioned it in his post. :doh:

    I humbly suggest this should probably move to the ToB forum since it's been mentioned.

    Well, the most fun I ever had was with the Wild Mage. The Wild Surges are mostly very fun and refreshing. If you're going for fun, then try it.

    EDIT: Just changed the wording to match the new forum the thread is in.

    Me, I think that <charname>'s class doesn't change the fun of the game nearly as much as the party he brings along. That being said, I had a blast playing an Inquisitor.

    To my un-ending horror I see you've never beat the game with a thief-kit!! :o They are very fun to play and have the added bonus of giving your party an actual thief. They're all fun to play too, vanilla as well.
    Maybe the bounty Hunter is the least appealing though.

    The most fun I have had is with the Sorcerer because there is just so much you can mess with when you are playing as one.

    Thanks for all your advice all :)

    I've decided to make a Wild Mage, although I don't fully understand the kit...

    So let me get it right. Whenever I cast a spell theres a 5% chance of something reallt wierd happening. But theres spells to protect you from this effect?

    So when cast, these spells basically turn your Wild Mage into a normal Mage for the duration? :confused:

    No, wild surges always have a fixed chance of happening. Spells such as chaos shield improve your odds of getting a beneficial wild surge when one occurs, though. The wild mage also gets Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, which is a level 1 spell that can cast *any* spell in your spellbook, even if you can't cast it normally (i.e trying to cast ADHW when you're level 10). Odds for a wild surge when doing something like that go up substantially.

    Evil Half-Orc Fighter/Thief was the most fun I had.

    Well, in some way the shields increase the chance of the Wild Mage working as a normal mage, because the highest roll possible for a Wild Surge is that the spell is cast normally. With a shield the odds of this roll happening are increased. With the Dweomer this chance is even more increased since it also adds the casters level to the roll.
