As everyone knows the world cup starts in just a few weeks and the world are in eager anticipation for the greatest event that strike the world. The olympics are nothing compared to the World Cup in football.
Which team do you guys think will win this year? France again? Argentina as many expert thinks? Or maybe even someone completely unheard of?

So lets hear some ecstatic World Cup ravings here! No one will enjoy silly summer weather when there is world class football on the telly!

I for one thinks that it might me Italys year, they are stable when it matters.

  2. I don't mind who wins, as long as England beat Argentina :D

I suppose I wouldn't mind Holland winning for once...

I believe the gap between national teams are constantly closing, therefore it's hard to predict a winner.
It's very possible imo that we have a surprise winner. Otherwise, I'd bet on argentina or france :)

Top two teams without much doubt: Argentina & France. Both about 3/1 or 7/2 with UK bookies.

My outside bet - Portugal - at times excellent.

Usual possibles - Brazil, Italy and Germany, but I don't really fancy any of them from what I've seen recently.

Personally I think France will win it again. It will certainly take a great performance to beat them.

Bloody awful kick-off times though for us Europeans!

I would like Holland to win too, but like Joacqin said, they're aren't playing, which takes away most of the fun for me. I don't know if I will even watch. I find it strange though they haven't qualified, because in the last World Cup and European Cup, they ended like in the top 4 IIRC.

If not them...The only thing I can say is: Allez France!!! ;)

Has the US been eliminated already? Were we even invited? We have a terrible football team! (Look, I'm even calling soccer football - doh!) :p

IIRC the US are in Bel, so dont worry. And your football isnt that bad. Sure maybe not a winning team but on the same level as most of the teams that qualiefied, and better than some.
