Recently I started my re-run of BG2+ToB with some mods (thanks for the advice goes to McMermaid and Silverstar) and a thought came to me. What about getting my hand on BG1+expansion and play whole Bhaalspawn saga trilogy as a whole story. Becouse now it kinda feels, like I'm missing something. So my question is, is it worth it ? in BG2 I enjoyed story wiht Irenicus, conversations between NPC's and well, whole epicness of being a child of god. Does this feeling is getting better when playing BGT ? Definitely I'll use mods for it, but the question remains, is it worth ? I'm kinda scared of spending money (even if not too much of it) on old game which can disappoint, couse it misses something.

You can get it off GOG so cheap you shouldn't even need to think about it... just go for it.

I don't think BG1 will necessarily increase your experience of BG2, though it does give a bit more context for your encounter with Sarevok in ToB. But if you like BG2, you'll like BG1 too, I'm pretty sure. And you can always install Tutu on top of BG to make it more like BG2 (in terms of engine mechanics and interface).

As Tal said, you can get it of off GoG, or you can wait for GoG to put it on sale and get it for even cheaper.

10$ !!! Both of you are right and I'm dowloading game as we speak. Today I'm gonna meet Boo and all the others !!! The great tale of Zevran is going to begin.
All I need to do, is just to find the proper mods which works with BGT and enchants character banters, couse as I understand they dont speak as much as in BG2. long live the sorcerers place !
