Why choose Kensai instead of a Berserker or a Wizard Slayer if your going to make a Fighter / Mage? I've given thought to playing one but see no real advantage of one over the others. I think I made one a long time ago but only because everyone says they are powerful. What's the big deal? Please explain.

On another note, I've been playing a Wild Mage since my questioning them and man am I loving it. I only use the Nahal's Reckless Dweomer for all my 1st level spells so it's fun when I get a random surge. Only 2 demons so far. Lol.

Wizard Slayer is a pretty bad choice for a F/M dual if you ask me. The limitation on using magic items is fairly crippling.

I suppose the appeal of a Kensai / mage is the extra bit of damage, pretty much only at the cost of using gauntlets/gloves. Well, and ranged weapons. But I'm not really a fan of this dual option, either.

I would prefer a F/Wild mage dual, actually. You can't do it in-game, but I'll gladly use SK to get this kind of dual.

I started a F/Wild Mage about a week ago. Pretty fun so far. I switch between different characters all the time. Right now I'm playing a T/WM.

I've had several wild mage duals and multi's, but since I only ever seem to use spell casting when I'm soloing, I haven't had the true wild mage experience, yet. I have a character all ready to start in BG1 for that solo, but then, I have many other characters all ready to go, as well.
