[IMG] I don't understand it. Why would a Druid not be able to DC to a Mage?

I made a Shapeshifter for the sole purpose of DC to a Mage, but it won't DC. Even though I have 16 in Int.

Am I missing something as far a as stats? Or can you just not DC a Druid to a Mage? It does offer DC to a fighter, but obviously that's not what I want.

Can someone explain this to me please?

First - Even if you could dual class into a mage, you'd need 17 intelligence to do it.

Second - You can only dual class into valid multi-class options. The fighter is the only thing a druid can dual into. If you want mage spells, you should try the avenger kit - although you can only cast a limied number of them, and you have -2 constition and strength.

[IMG] Thanks Wildfire for the info.

That seems to be the census, but I still don't understand the logic behind why a Druid could not DC to a Mage. Doesn't seem all that illogical for a child of Nature to learn the arts of Magic.

Oh well. I guess that will have to go in the "Why don't AD&D games do this/that" pile. ;)

    Thanks again,
