Why does Mellisan kill Imoen?

    [​IMG] I did found out that Mellisan hates Imoen, cause everytime I fight her, the first party member that gets hurt is Imoen, is this a coincidence, or a hidden part of the story line?

    She may be AI'd to target spellcasters first? I think some enemies are.

    I must confess I never found this though. Sarevok was standing far to close to her to let that happen :grin:

    You're not using her in the front line are you?

    No dhe stand behind the front line, with Nalia, but still she gets wounded or killed all the time, I just don't get it.

    She doesn'rt even fight or cast spells on Mellisan, I got Viconia Saravok and to fight with me I have Nalia to cast spells and Hear'dalis to protect het and Imoen.

    If she's out of Melissan's range and doesn't get spells cast on her, maybe it isn't Melissan who kills her...

    its been a while, but doesn't melissan have Wail of the Banshee? Every time that spell gets cast it seems like Imoen is the one character to fail the saving throw. I'd suggest some death wards before fighting that battle.

    [​IMG] Well mostly if Imoen dies I let her dead to just before the final battle than I resurect her and prey :).

    I was thinking, are there creatures that always atack the weakest partymember?

    No, there are no creatures that will attack a party member because of their combat strength, but some of the monsters have kits too (ie. wizard slayer). Some of them also tries to kill the creatures you summon, before they attack your party.

    As for Mellisan, I think that she is using the AI-Sscript "Wizard Attack", so she's killing the wizards first (as they are the only ones who can actually remove the protections she uses, making her vulnerable)...

    Only a guess...
