    [IMG] Howdy-ho, fellow forumdwellers!

    I was recently toying around, and I decided to give some strange combo a shot - A neutral evil Fighter/Wild Mage/Thief. I know that by using Shadowkeeper you can confer a single kit to multiclasses/plain dual classes, but I'm having a bit of trouble giving my character proper abilities.

    If there're some Master Shadowkeeperers around here (and given all the cheating, I'm sure there is :lol: ), I could appreciate some help with the following:

    I've added the Wild Mage-only spells (Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, Chaos Shield, Improved Chaos Shield) and the kit itself, but how is it possible to add the innate Wild Surge percentage effect? And if it *can* be added, can the percentage be changed to something a *little* more drastic such as... 50%?

    Also, is there a variable to set to add the extra spell per level as per the Wild Mage's specialization bonus, or do I have to manually add a spell per level everytime he's able to cast that particular circle?

    Are these things easily done, or is it too much work and simply redundant? Thanks in advance for your replies.

    I'm guessing you tried changing a F/M/T to a F/WM/T; have you tried creating a regular Wild Mage and SKing his class to F/M/T while leaving the rest untouched? If you can't get it that way, I'd say you're not meant to have it. ;) (I can get you the extra spells, but I don't know how to do wild surges.)

    That's a good suggestion, but I don't know much about Thief/Fighter Thac0/hitpoint/thief skill progression for the first level, but it's tempting me to find out without screwing up my entire directory... I might give it a shot tonight when I get back home.

    Thanks for the reply!

    Fighter THAC0 is pretty easy. For the first twenty levels, THAC0 = 21 - level; since you'll probably be SKing at the beginning, I don't think you'll have to worry about it after you change the class. Thief skills and adjustments can be found in the tables on pp. 232 & 233 in the manual. Past that, they get 40 at first level and 25 per level thereafter, so at 6th they'd get 165 discretionary points and at 7th they'd get 190.

    Regarding THAC0 it doesn't really matter if you mess them up, considering they will automatically be readjusted properly the next time you level up. The game doesn't reduce your THAC0 every time you level up, but rather reads your exact THAC0 for this particular level directly from a table.

    @Ziad -

    That's awesome! :whoa:

    Does the same apply to base thief skills as well, or is it just for Thac0? Will this also fix my Wild Mage bonus spell progression?

    @Ziggy:
    Only the THAC0. Base skills (as the name would suggest) get set at the beginning, so they would never get "fixed". However, they are automatic, so you would only need to apply the discretionary points with SK.

    And the bonus spells are something that have flustered a great many amateur modders and SKers (but not me :cool: ), since they would actually be taken away if the character file points to a lower progression. If you have a problem with it, though, just let me know and I can send you something to copy some effects off of which will fix it. :)

    @Catboy -

    Aw, drat. It's a shame really, but thanks for all the helpful info so far. I'm no powergamer, and I can live without the extra spells, but Thac0? Never! :lol:

    Thank you for the excellent responses, Felinoid and Ziad. I'll get this raving, tactical madman of a Bhaalspawn going out to murder Gorion's assassin tonight... :evil:

    As for my other question - is it possible to alter the innate Wild Surge effect through a certain variable, or is it hardcoded?

    Yes it's possible, but I don't remember what the variable is. :bad:
