Wild Mage spell caster level accuracy

    [​IMG] So I really am grooving with the Wild Mage. One thing irks me, though. The notification at spell casting isn't correct most often. It will say "Spell caster level decreased by: 3" and I'll get more Melf's minute meteors than my actual level. The same can apply vice versa.

    Is there a mod to make the notification accurate? Or is this a problem that is hard coded into the game and unfixable?

    That's a weird problem. Its always worked fine for me (Melf's Meteor-wise) although I haven't tried checking if my spell durations reflected the caster level change. Might be a bug with the chaos magic shields?

    It isn't the shields. I've been running around without having one active.

    Yes I am a wild magic addict and I have noticed that oft those notifications are false. But think it as another 'randomness' and fun part of the wild magic.

    On a side note, do you have the 'wild mage additions' mod? It adds new and cool and super fun spells for the wild mages. The vanilla game has rather...limited pure wild magic spells and this mod rectifies it with style. :thumb:

    Yeah, I run with JOG's Wild Magic, his fairy dragon mod and his planar teleport mod. I like his stuff.

    So do you think the spell level notification is hard coded that way or could a modder make it work right?
