Wild surges are messing ALL my spells up!

    [​IMG] i cant caste any spell , for some reason wild surges: wild color keeps happening and its making it so i cant caste any spells ( nether can the enemy)( makes mind flayers easy ) but i want to stop it... has this happened before? and how do i fix it?:confused::flaming::nolike:

    well first when i was in SoA and then when i start a new game in bg2 ToB i cant caste spells and the chara in the game cant ehter . . . . i no know why . i reboot the pc and it stopps messing up . but then like 10 min later it messe upo again ?:confused::flaming::nolike::sosad:

    Hit Ctrl-H repeatedly until the display in the readout says WildSurge(0) or something like that. That will stop it from ever happening again. From reading your post, I suspect that you accidently hit the cheat key.

    I was playing ToB last night, the party was up against Vongoethe, and Aerie had just cast Sunray to get rid of Vongoethe and most of the others. Suddenly she turned into a rabbit (I think); after a while she became human and started hitting Imoen; there was no symbol on her character though I couldn't get control. Later she "recovered". I didn't see any wild surge effect (I've never played with a wild mage) or any spell from an opponent; maybe I accidentally hit Ctrl+H, I'll have to see if similar things happen later in the game. Imoen was casting spells quite happily.

    Well, there is a stutter bug with Aerie, that was fixed in the patch, but I've never heard of that happening with it.

    Either way, I doubt that was caused by Ctrl-H. That would cause every spell caster in the fight to experience the wild surge.

    You couldn't get control on the main screen? What happened if you clicked her picture in the sidebar?

    I didn't take much notice of it; she'd done her work and I was busy polishing off the remaining enemies. I think she had a thin green outline to her picture, instead of the normal thickness you get - as if she were stunned, confused or something. But there was no icon or animation that I noticed.
