A Cleric x/Druid 1 will get level 1 Druid spells, and only as many as a first level Druid is entitled to. The Druid spellbook will not crossover into the Cleric spellbook, they are treated seperately.

It worked in the other games (BG and original IWD) but it doesn't in this one. A real pain because i tried this exact same thing with my Cleric (not at first level) and was very dissapointed when it didnt work, sure it makes sense but i wanted all the high level druid AND cleric spells, ah well my sorcer still kicks arse anyway lol.

The very problem with getting spells erroneously in previous Infinity Engine games was the reason all spells from a class in IWD2 are contained in different spellbook.
So, as Gaius said, no more ranger/cleric übercasters and such.

One more thing you must notice, some spells that are level dependant but two classes share them, won't be casted with equal power. In your case of cleric/druid, cleric's spell that is level dependant will be more powerful than the same spell from druid spellbook. The level in spell description is always "aimed" to active class of character (in fact, selected spellbook) while casting the spell.

Level 1 characters can only get level 1 spells. So no exploits possible. How about a level 1 in each, cleric/druid/bard/sorcerer/wizard? Level 1 spells 5 times over! Great...

Bard level1 has no spells and each of the rest will get two or three (the sorc could get 2 spells cast 4 times for high cha)
