Will spell effects still be active if NO changes classes?

For instance, let's say you have NO as a Mage. You cast a spell like Armor or Friends. You then talk to Dak'kon and become a Fighter. Will these spells still be in effect, or are they canceled out because NO is no longer a Mage?

I know it's a weird question, but it just came to me and I thought I'd ask. :)

Awesome. There are probably some powerful applications of this (like casting the two spells I've named above and then using them to become a better warrior or become more charismatic and get better dialogues (and therefore more XP) in a class other than Mage.

you could also just remain a mage and fill up your spellbook with Fist of Iron, this would add more damage than any axe you will find, say you have a dagger or blade that does 2-5 damage, casting fist of iron will add +6 damage and +3 to hit equaling 11 max damage
this along with shield spell and fade will make TNO a very powerful battlemage

edit: even at the end of the game, my most used spells are the above combination and TNO stomps, i removed my party members and just freelance around killing things solo
