Will the new C.O.F album be any good?

    [IMG] Hell-o all,

I'm wondering, i've always been a big Cradle of filth fan until there latest CD "Damnation and a Day" That one really sucked. (Although the instrumental songs were good and it had one other cool song "Manequin").

Next month there new CD is coming but I don't know if I must buy it. They moved away from Sony and the song you can download from their site sounded pretty cool (Although Dani shouted the word "C*nt" a bit to offten IMHO). But maybe this album would be another big disapointment...

    What do you guys think?

I really only enjoy "Dark Fairytales..." and "Dusk And Her Embrace". Just to keep up the spirit of the recent "future of music" thread: Everything afterwards became a bit stagnant. "Cruelty..." I bought but hardly listened to, "Midian" was not even on my list of essential buys anymore. "Damnation..." completely passed me by.

That said, I always liked the theme and the vampiric image. "Dusk..." was one of the best pieces of epic black metal ever, so I figure I would lend the new album my ear. It's been a while since the last time I found something good in this genre (the romantic, gothic type of BM), maybe "Nymphetamine" is what I'm looking for. :)

[IMG] Dusk... was their best album indeed. I must say Midian had a few nice tracks (I always start with creatures that kissed in cold mirrors because the songs before that one aren't that good).

We can only wait and hope for Nymphetamine...
