Did they ever patch the game so I can play Diablo with my normal (limited) account instead of logging in as the admin?

I know it says in the manual that you must play as an admin on Windows 2000, but given the popularity of the game I'm surprised it hasn't been patched by now. I tried searching but failed to find anything. I just saw a "Diablo II battlechest" available in Game Stop at Woodfield the weekend before Thanksgiving, so that says something about a game that's been in stores since before XP.

I'm thinking of doing a full run starting with Diablo I and then II.

I'm pretty sure I didn't need to use my admin account to play it and that was years ago, shortly after it's been released...

Well, I'm getting ready to reinstall the game. I've got Diablo I reinstalled, now it's time to install DIablo II. I should have done this a couple weeks ago, but I kinda got distracted playing some of the games when I should have been merely testing them, then moving on to installing the next one.
Too many of them are addictive, then again, I'm sure everyone here understands that. The other excuse I have is that I've been sick for 2 and a half weeks, but for the last five days my symptoms have only been coughing. OTC Wal-Tussin DM cough medicine works, but it's been very annoying and that stuff is one of my least favorite beverages.

Wont need to have admin to play the games honestly. So go ahead and play on your limited xp account.

XP isn't as restricted as Vista is.
