Since when were there golems in the first part of the dungeon? I am not talking about the adamite with the bow, but right at the beginning, wit the orc archers behind the secert doors. There are 2 clay, 2 stone and an iron. My sorcerer is having some trouble with them.

    Thanks in advance.

Well there most certanly were golems the last time I went through Windspear hills. If you haven't encountered them earlier it might be because you have been too low lvl and they haven't spawned (just like the lich in temple ruins).

Your party must be high level!

The Windspear Hills quest was like the 3rd quest I did coming out of Irenicus' dungeon.

I was low level, so I only got Stone Golems.

Does everyone remember the "Bridge District murders" quest? Remember you have to fight a Rune Assassin and an easy to kill beast?

I went back to that room like a month (game time) after I completed the quest, and I saw another Rune Assassin with a Bone Golem showing up instead of a low level beast.

So yeah, the game definately moves according to your level.

Even people not in your party move to your level! How did Imoen gain all those levels while she wasn't adventuring with us? And does Viccy normally start the party at level 13? (I just picked her up right now in Chapter 6 for like the first time, and she's at the same level as Jaheira? WOW!) Ya know?

I am only level 12, any idea on how to kill these with a solo sorcerer?

Since I have absolutely no experience with soloing I am surely no authority here. Golems are usually dealt with by my fighters. But sometimes my spellcasters support them with the thirdlevel spell Minute Meteorites. Quite effective against Golems of all kinds!
Maybe that is of use to you, Fade. :)

My wording should have been better. I should have said you're not low level!

Ummm....I don't have much soloing experience either, but what I would do is summon a few elementals, and make the fight take place in the corridor (so that the elementals only have to fight 2 golems at a time).

If all else fails, get Minsc, Anomen, Korgan and Valygar (Val's racial enemy is Golems) and equip them with blunt weapons (for the Clay Golems, only blunt weapons work on them)

Thats just what I would do if I was in your position.

Do you have lower resistance? You can use that then pelt the golems to death with spells.

Golems generally have low HP... hit them with a few lower resists (pierce magic as an alternative) then start firing magic missiles or other magical damage spells. Sloppy, but it will work. I've never played solo with a sorcerer, so I'm sure someone can offer a more effective alternative.

Actually, I have no experiences on solo either, but I try my best to put myself in your shoe.

First, I will cast summons. Maybe fiend types(if possible) or elemental ones, to keep the golems busy. after that, lower the MR of the golems and blast them.
Maybe too simplified, but I will just try something like that till I successed. Btw, I would also lure the "smaller" golems out of the entrance first, so that the "bigger" one can be dealed more easily later.

Conjure Earth Elemental (no elemental damage is good since the Golems have MR), Stoneskin, Mirror Image, Improved Invisibilty, Phantom Blade and Tenser's Transformation and finally Lesser Earth Elemental. You probably don't have most of those spells, but I don't know which you have, being a Sorceress and all. A sorceress is hard to solo since changing your spells for the upcoming battle is impossible.

...OR you can lvl up cpuole of levels elsewhere and have yourself Mislead and MMM(A must for solo). Then cast Mislead before you see them, leave your misleaded char far away, cast MMM and let it burn. Also some lower resistances or Greater Malison -scrolls to reduce resistances and fireball, IT's essential anyways that the golems wont see you :D and mislead is for that, as long as they dont see your misleaded character (atleast run away when they do see it, since they start hacking it immediadly).

That's what I'd try, though might be a little cheesy. Or summon as much as you can on Ogres and enchance 'em with haste etc buffs?

Lol, once I got the golems, using lower resist then death fog, I proceeded to get slaughter by a group of shadows when I was resting. I think I will just go do Planar Sphere now. That should get me to level 14, and then I get project image.

It's very possible to beat the golems at the level your at, but I would recommend doing the Planar Sphere quest first because there's nothing in Firkraag's dungeon that would really benefit a Sorceress. The only critical item for any mage is the Robe of Vecna... you do have the Robe of Vecna, don't you?

Yep, and I started the Bohdi quests to get the amulet of power. I am just cruising along getting ready for the underdark.
