Wizard slayer cannot use potions, magical items (Glasses of ID, the spider figure, etc) and cannot wear gloves, amulets, belts, cloaks, rings, and maybe not boots (haven't found one yet in my current game).

So after I dual class (and reactivate the wizard slayer of course), which of these disadvantages go away? Which remain? I think it's fairly important to be able to use scrolls if he DC over to a mage...

AFAIK, none of them go away. Wizard Slayers in an SOA-only install are IMO not very good. Now if you have the expansion, that's another matter (but it's also another discussion not to be had in an SOA thread such as this one).

Yeah, you are right. In fact I don't even get to use magical items during the time when the Wizard Slayer is inactive. Oh well, I'll live with it (resisting the urge to restart because character is messed up).

Now, you do realize that if you make a Wizard Slayer that duals to thief, you'll eventually get [snip]...... And that will completely smack down the drawbacks of Wizard Slayer but keep the spell-failure AND high MR benefits of the kit.

Meow: Some mod will edit your post if you don't first. We have to pretend ToB doesn't exist in this forum.
