    Another conference is on the timetable for late October. This time, it's the Women's Game Conference 2005 held by Game Initiative in the Austin Convention Center on the day before and the first day of the Austin Game Conference, which is Oct. 26-27. Here's a snip:

    The Game Initiative's Women's Game Conference focuses on women in the computer and video game industry. This conference will highlight the importance of women as consumers of games, draw attention to the contributions women bring to the game industry workforce, and create an environment conducive to networking.

    The 2005 Women's Game Conference takes place October 26-27, 2005 - the day before and the first day of - the Austin Game Conference at the Austin Convention Center and is open to anyone interested in the game industry and game development.
