Worst Party

    I've finished BG several times now and was thinking that when I play it again I'd like it to be a real challenge. So I was just curious as to everyone's opinion on the worst possible party you chould make. Who are the absolute worst fighters/mages/thieves, etc? And which would make the worst class for my main character?

    IMO Khalid maybe a whiner but he is a good tank, if you really want a challange use Montaron as a tank, he is a fighter/thief.

    But Khalid have the worst MORALE points in the whole series while Montaron can sneak up and backstab people.

    But Kagain is the ultimate tank due to his supreior HP, IMHO. Anyway, the topic's the worst party, so

    Why not use Branwen to tank?

    Xan may sound weak, but actually he is very effective spellcaster with sleep and charm person.

    I suggest these characters:
    Main character: Fighter/mage/thief or fighter/mage/cleric, because you will get levels very slowly
    Tank: Montaron
    Thief: Safana or Tiax (in addition to Montaron)
    Cleric: Quayle (and Tiax)
    Mage: Quayle and Garrick/Eldoth

    It is harder, than I ever thought to make a bad party.

    I think it's interesting seeing some of the suggestions above. I've heard quite a few people of this forum saying that such-and-such a character is really awful or that another character is just bad beyond words but I think at the end of the day that there aren't any truly awful characters.

    [​IMG] Go solo using a bard with the lowest stats possible(and never level up). If you complete the game without cheating using that char alone you're my god :angel: and I'll love and worship you forever :love:

    That's an interesting idea actually. A solo character of 1st level against Sarevok, Tazok, Angelo and Semaj - now that'd be a fight worth seeing!

    Mathematically impossible, sure it COULD happen but considering what you need to roll to hit any of them (you won't have any spells as lvl one and bard song would be useless) and what they need to roll to hit you then statistically there is a better chance of you being struck by lightning three times in a row.

    Worst class for main: Mage - the idea is to keep your main character alive, besides Edwin is a better mage than you can ever be. At least bards have better hp and can wear armour.

    Worst Tank: Khalid poor morale or Kivan poor HP.

    Worst Mage: Quayle

    Worst Thief: Tiax (never played skie so can't comment)

    Worst Priest: Quayle - low wisdom (actually found Faldorn to be pretty useful)
