How is the weather where you live? Are you one of the lucky ones who gets to have an 80-90 degree Xmas, or are you stuck having a below freezing Xmas. :hmm:

It only got up to 21 degrees (F) here on Xmas Eve. We're going to have a "White Xmas" tomorrow with an estimated 3-6 inches of snow in addition to what's still on the ground from the last storm. Xmas night in to the 26th it's going to drop down to the single digits... :bang:

I wish I was in Hawaii right now.

In the last week we've accumulated about a foot of snow, but today it rained, so I don't know how much will be left. I think where the laneway was cleared out (if Thanksgiving is appropriate this time of year, I would like to express my gratitude for our payloader to clear our laneway), it should be clear, but it's still a white Christmas here...

We have about a 12-16 inches of snow right now with another 4-6 expected tonight. Throw in the drifts that are common around these country roads and it gets nasty.

At least it has warmed up to a high of 20(F), the other day the high was 6(F)... with a low of -15(F).

    Update... The roads are bad.

My brother, and later my dad each got stuck... After an hour and a half of working to get them out (which we would have never succeeded at if a friend didn't drive by), I am cold and irritated.

    Really bad here.

3-4 feet in the last week (mostly over the weekend) and I probably damaged my car driving over an ice chunk the plow left me at the end of the driveway.

Now it's over 40F and there's a flood watch if it melts too fast.
    High winds too.

One of the worst Holidays for weather here in over 15 years.

    An update for me...

It's getting bad...really bad outside right now. It's not quite blizzard conditions, but defiantly "white out" conditions. We lost power for about 30-45 minutes, and the inside temp dropped pretty fast in the short time. :bad:

Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow. :flaming:

It's still above zero °C here, so, no snow. We're expecting a temperature drop though. Who knows, maybe we'll have some snow tomorrow? Frankly, I have my doubts.

A christmas is not a christmas without snow, which we fortunately have. The temperature is only a bit below 0 °C, so a very nice weather for christmas.

The temperature here is also a bit below zero but the only snow I see is the snow on SP. Outside, it's a grey Christmas.

OTOH, my father was a manual worker for the local authority for many years, and one of his jobs was to sweep snow. He had more than one Christmas ruined by having to work until late afternoon on Christmas Eve and being called out early again on Christmas day. :bad: So I have mixed feelings about white Christmasses to say the least.

No snow in East Tennessee, but that is normal and not really disappointing. After very heavy rain and winds on Christmas Eve, the skies cleared up and the temperature dropped back into the seasonable range - high today (Christmas itself) was about 45F, about 7C, and it was mostly sunny with just a few high clouds. While snow is pretty on Christmas, from what I've been reading most places getting snow in North America are getting way too much of it. Bundle up and stay warm, SP'ers, and best wishes for a great new year.

Errr...yeah...that "3-6 inches" that was forecasted actually turned out to be 10 inches and counting, the second wave of the Xmas storm started up a few hours ago and it's not going to quit for a few more hours.

While I expected the roads to be horrible, I'm quite pissed that our entire community hasn't been plowed or shoveled. :grr: We pay more than most people for HOA fees which covers snow removal, and the new contractor they have this year sucks. :flaming:

We've got snow here but it is melting fast. We got about 10 inches on Saturday and a bit more on Monday but the temperatures have been around 40F for the last couple of days so it's melting. The roads are not too bad today, but they were through yesterday. It seems that Portland has a serious lack of snow removal equipment. The front yard is still covered and I about killed myself shoveling the driveway clear. As a California boy I'm certainly not used to such things.

I had a roughly 20°c Christmas. Not too cold, and not too hot. I don't know how anyone considers it lucky to have a 30+ Christmas. All you really do is sit around and sweat.

82(F) and cloudy on Christmas day in north central Florida. Still, it was a warm cloudy and not a clammy cloudy, so I considered it nice.

Lies! It was horrible weather when I left Auckland in the morning. Left into the dark clouds, and landed in Wellington to the sun.

You must have not come over to the North Shore. It was brilliant over here.
