Wandering around the Temple at various points is Davorik, apparently the head priest here. He has a fair amount of information to offer, especially on the nature of the cosmos as it relates to your condition.
If you wish, you could kill him after Act 3 starts and after he warns you not to start another crusade against Kelemvor and selecting an Evil dialogue option along the lines of: "Why don't you tell Kelemvor yourself?" He'll drop a Bastard Sword called Touch of Death.
In this room you’ll find a whole bunch of chests with gold and gems and the like. One of them will also have Potions of Healing.
Here you find Yusev the Acolyte. He entered the Temple of Kelemvor with the hopes of learning more about necromancy in order to prolong his life. He discovered to his chagrin that Kelemvor frowns severely upon the necromantic arts. This places him in danger of either being judged False (having nominally worshipped a deity but in substance having betrayed that god’s faith) or being judged Faithless. (having one’s soul doomed to being absorbed by the wall for not having worshipped any god) There’s more than one way to deal with this and earn xp. If you spoke to Davorik beforehand, you can explain to him the fate of the False and the Faithless to talk him out of his endeavour. If you elect to gratify his desire, you’ll need to find a tome in the second level of the Death God’s Vault and bring it to him. This earns you xp, but also shifts your alignment towards evil.
