Raedric's Hold - Sanctuary
Sanctuary Hallway
The party initially arrives at the stairs located at #5 on the map of the Hold Keep. They continue on their way by going up the stairs at #4.
They arrive at the stairs labelled #1 on the map of the Sanctuary. Containers at #2 and #3 between them contain a total of six Berathian Priest Robes. These robes provide an opportunity to infiltrate the Sanctuary without always getting attacked on the spot and having to slaughter everybody, if such is your preference.
Just wearing the Robes by itself, however, is not quite enough. Once in a while a Paladin of Berath or an Acolyte of Berath or a Priest of Berath will have some suspicions and interrogate the party on the spot. Very often a Resolve check of varying degrees, 12 Resolve at minimum or 18 Resolve at the highest, will suffice. Once in a while a High Priest will get suspicious, in which case you need an Intellect check of at least 12 to deflect suspicion. So in summary, having all six party members equipped in Berathian Priest Robes, and your Watcher character having at least 18 Resolve and 12 Intellect, suffices to give you complete free run of the Sanctuary level.
However, I simply prefer to slaughter everything in sight. I won't get any experience for doing so. But I will acquire a lot of loot that I can sell, which will help me with some early purchases that I have my sights set on.
But first, I need to cut a path to somebody named Nedmar. I go east along the hallway, and then southeast. I battle small groups of Lord Raedric's followers at various points, but the battles are easy enough, more so since Alliria is frequently able to trigger her healing powers.
Nedmar
I have the Orlan Rogue pick the door number #15 and just north of #10, and then the party passes through.
I continue northeast and encounter Nedmar at #14. I begin with the dialogue option that assures him that Giacco is now safe. That means I can now have Nedmar watch over me in his room whenever I want to rest, and without having to use Camping Supplies. This option allows me to slaughter all of Lord Raedric's minions at my own pace and leisure, with the luxury of resting whenever I need to.
He also gives me the Burnished Steel Key, as well as two Scrolls of Protection. The Key allows me to open the other doors numbered #15.
Temple Hall
There will be several Priests of Berath, as well as Temple Guardians and Paladins of Berath, in the Temple Hall near #10. I keep the party north of the door, and have the Orlan Rogue plant a Boiling Spray Trap near the door. I then have Eder go on to get their attention and lead them back to the party. I manage to win handily, thanks to Alliria's healing powers and Kana's Phantoms.
The remaining Temple Guardian and Paladin of Berath on the other side of the door are much easier to handle afterwards.
The video concludes with pressing the button at #12 to open the secret door at #13.
Sanctuary Banquet Hall
The Banquet Hall will be on the south side of the Sanctuary map. My strategy consists of leading as few enemies as I can through the door and dealing with them piecemeal. The Orlan Rogue sets a Noxious Fumes trap at the door the first two times.
The second battle also shows Kana making effective use of a Ray of Fire scroll that he had found earlier, whereby he can inflict consistent 'pulse' damage against enemies that are standing in a line together.
After the first two battles, there's only a single Paladin of Berath, and he's easily dealt with by himself.
Sanctuary Scriptorium
There will be a couple Priests of Berath at #17, who I easily kill off. I loot the various containers in the room, including a Scrawled Note which drops a belated hint about Nedmar.
Sanctuary Mess Hall
Now I enter the Banquet Hall, marked at #7. I kill a few Priests of Berath inside without much trouble. A closet in the room has some random items that I loot.
The video concludes with me going back to Nedmar and resting up.
Next up is the battlements and courtyard of Raedric's Hold.
