10 things to do before I die

Felinoid - all of the other things I can think of just seem petty and silly compared to the ones I listed. The ones I listed are things that represent my legacy to the world, as opposed to some fleeting experience or temporary indulgence. If I had a choice between visiting an Egyption pyramid (which I'd love to do) and seeing my grandchildren, I'd have to choose the grandchildren. Remember that this is a list of the 10 things I'd absolutely like to do before I died. No contest really.

 

Families are overrated...the last thing this world needs is a bunch of little Kitrax's running around causing chaos!

 

Luckily, my kids will not be a bunch of little Kitraxes running around causing chaos.

 

Hmmm, so many things to do...

1 - Go back to Greece/Crete
2 - Travel Europe, Africa and Asia
3 - Learn archery
4 - Learn how to wield a katana
5 - Meet Michael Shanks
6 - Get my Ph.D
7 - Buy a house in Crete
8 - Be remembered for something that I did that benefitted the world
9 - Go to a live Rolling Stones concert and a U2 concert
10 - Meet some of the people of SP

 

Seems alot of people like katanas in here.

1. Become pro snowboarder.
2. Learn 1 or 2 more languages.
3. Visit Rome.
4. Visit Tokyo.
5. Get a gf!
6. Have a personal library, made up mostly of FR books.
7. Have my own house/apartment decorated in medieval japanese/roman times style.
8. Have a personal collection of medieval weapons (expecially katanas and such).
9. Have several dimplomas, mainly on Psychology (basicly be a jack of all trades).
10. Have a custom made Alienware PC.

 

katanas are pretty.,... i think I should have added one to my list. But I think I am satisfied with my iato for now

 

Here ya go

I) Meet Angus Young

II) Find true love and devote myself for her

III) Get my freakin' Baccalaureat in Cinema (Films studies, or whatever it's in english) This one is on the way though...

IV) Make (good) movies

V) See my political ideal come true (NOT gonna tell what it is, I'm WAY too much a minority for it, but you can guess it if you know Canada's and Québec's political climax)

VI) Visit, Scotland, London, Japan, China, Paris, and New Orlean (in no perticular order)

VII) Do skydiving

VIII) Build up a house in the woods

IX) Learn German (on my way), Latin, and Russian

X) Get rid of my asthma that plagued my life for 17 years!

Ohhh...pay off my debts. That was a good one that I didn't think of. I guess that would have to be number 11.

 

Bicycle across the country with my kids
See both my kids established in their chosen careers
See both my kids happily partnered
Hold a grandchild or two
Tour Europe
become fluent in at least one other language
learn to play the piano well
publish a novel or two
make a beautiful, flourishing garden around my house
have enough time to ENJOY my home instead of always be working on it.

Adrenaline is highly overrated - accomplishment is my drug of choice.

 

Write a novel (does everybody here have this one).
NOT KILL ANYONE (who are you people and stay away from me and my family).
Sky dive.
Visit every continent (I've only got a couple to go).
Walk on the Great Wall.
Climb the temple of the sun and temple of the moon.
Not get divorced -- again.
Hold my grandchildren (not anytime soon, I hope).
Get a patent for one of my products (had one chance get blown by an attorney).
Watch a game at the house that Ruth built.

 

Agreed. I am surprised at the level of homicide being plotted by SP members.

1. Become a world famous guitar god
2. To have 3 sexy women in my bed at the same time
3. Fly a fighter jet
4. Write and publish my own instructional books
5. To thunder accross Europe on a Kawasaki Ninja
6. To play golf with Alan Sugar
7. Buy an Island
8. Get 1337 hand writing skillz
9. To get on the Jonathan Ross show
10.Live the rest of my life in luxury

 

1. Finish a novel and maybe get it published (So many writers here on SP, I noticed)

2. Meet each and every member of SP... even DM

3. Meet an assorted list of famous people, writer and actors and stuff

4. Learn the guitar

5. Get married and have kids

6. Move to either Mexico, Argentina or NZ

7. Travel the entire world, go to every single country

8. Own a fire arm

9. Get another katana... or three

And 10. Die peacefully

 

1. Build and live in a house somewhere that's not too loud.

2. Raise and be able to support a family.

3. See Halley's Comet again (will have to make 86 to do that, so here's hoping).

4. Travel the world, or at least every continent (except maybe Antarctica).

5. Write a book (I've already been published once, but only an article in a refereed journal).

6. Start learning German again, and learn at least one other language (most likely Japanese or Indonesian).

7. Work towards restoring public integrity in the political system in Australia (I didn't say I wasn't a dreamer, did I?).

8. See Australia take back the Ashes!

9. Retire comfortably, to do occasional consultancy work, travel while I still can, and help look after my grandkids (that's long-term planning)

10. Find happiness and peace with who I am and my place in the world - I suspect that'll be the hardest one.

1 Buy a house in the mountains for my main home
2 A holiday home near the Giants Causeway or Raithland Island
3 Visit Asia, Middle East and Africa
4 Be fluent in at least 10 languages
5 Get reaquainted with my Irish Traveller heritage and not face discrimination for my race.
6 Live to see the day when all Irish terrorist groups disband for good
7 Have an authentic 'La Tène' sword made for me (like my Celtic ancestors).
8 Swim with basking sharks and conger eels
9 Win archery and fencing competitions
10 Have my solo folk/metal band achieve moderate success.

 

Some realistic ones, others less so.

1. Be able to afford to stop working before retirement age
2. Actually get to see most of Britain
3. Visit the vast majority of the rest of the world
4. Own a house with a decent bit of land (couple of acres say) in a small village or hamlet in the English countryside and have the time and energy to enjoy it.
5. Get another Dog... or two
6. Get myself a workshop and take up wood-working as a hobby.
7. Find out something about my natural parents and family (Still putting this one off for a while)
8. Swim with Dolphins
9. Invent something which will make a material difference (for the better) to the world.
10. Avoid having any of my friends and family go through pain and/or anguish.

 

1. Get my PhD and go into research.
2. Visit all continents.
3. Travel in space. To a different galaxy preferably.
4. Not be tired all the time and go on a huge haute-couture shopping spree.
5. Find out something interesting about the past.
6. Go live in the UK.
7. Find someone to share my life with. Be it a cat or a man.
8. Do something memorable.
9. Avoid disaster and sickness
10. Die a good death.
