This was created earlier this year, and looks to be very promising. Unfortunately it's non-weidu, so I won't list it with the other mods on the first page. I'll ask around, and hopefully the importance of converting it to a compatible Weidu version will be acknowledged by a modder.

EDIT: Looking at the files, most of them can just be dropped into override folder. There may be ome incompatibility when it overwrites changes made by other mods, but if you use good judgement, it should be safe enough. I'll add it to the main list, with warnings.

I've been writing quite a few game guides over the years:

So, I thought it was time to format my old IWD2-4dummies to plain text format, and offer it on GameFAQs as well. I went to great effort to improve the layout and overview of the massive wall of text, so as to make the guide more structured, less daunting, and easier to read. Finally, I'm satisfied with the quality of the new format. Ironic how going back to plain text really helps improve the overview. I had to make accommodations for the lack of bolding, italics and colour in the text, but it wasn't too hard.

The new&improved Character Creation FAQ should be up on GameFAQs in a day or so. My zip-file here on SP remains relevant, as there is no way to include such things in the FAQs section. A link to the SP upload was included.
So, it's vital that the newest update of IDW2-4dummies gets uploaded, too. I tried updating a few months back, but since it was a minor cosmetic update, perhaps it got lost in the mail.

I'll e-mail Tal with the new update soon, which will include the Plain Text file too. My all-girl party character's names have been replaced with a mix of BG2 NPC names. It may seem silly to readers, but still having an old guide with characters named after old crushes and GFs is even weirder, for a married man with kids. ;)

Sorry about that coin - I remember you sending but I think it got lost somewhere in my giant bag of to-do's. Just send the new version over and I'll get it up right away.

Should I install xpcapper and extended tables before or after other mods?

ideally you shouldn't be installing any other mod (components) that change the exp cap and leveling tables, but just in case one of them does, it's probably wise to install them last :)

first all other mods (in case they replace L30 tables with other L30 tables)
then xp capper and extended (L40) tables

what lefuet said - other mods shouldn't edit the xp cap/lvl tables, but they might.
so to make sure they don't install xpcapper and extended tables last.

Just be aware that the extended tables will replace/overwrite MONCRATE.2DA, which determines XP gains. So, if any of your mods tweaked the amount of XP gained, its effect will be overridden. If you want *both* the tweaked effect and level 40 table, you could have a look at MONCRATE.2DA in NotePad and try editing it yourself.
