I find it annoying when people don't use proper interpunction. I find it even more annoying when people don't notice interpunction or react to a statement as if there actually was interpunction.

On a Dutch political forum, someone mentioned a group of people, calling them "retarded Dutch WaJong people who voted for Wilders" (WaJong is a law for young people who are incapable of work, usually due to a handicap, disease, illness etc)
For some reason one person thought that means "All WaJong people are retarded"
An other thought it means: "All WaJong people vote for Wilders", yet another thought he ment: Only Dutch people use WaJong and all Wilders voters are retards.

That's when the flaming started and the discussion changed into a quoting pandemonium.

 

I have always thought that the "I could care care less" line was a way of saying "I could care less, but it would take too much effort and the issue isn't that important" -- rather a convoluted idea, but whatever.

 

*blinks and wonders whether she was right or not* Well... if the issue is not important, and you do not care enough not to care, then you actually could not care... less.
