IIRC Indirect (to an extent) Euthanasia is legal in England. The family can sign something to say that they want to 'pull the plug' on their relative. Also a person can say that they don't want to be rescuscitated (sp?) if they 'die' again, is this suicide?

Suicide maybe isn't illegal, but it's really really stupid and cowardly. Taking your life because you're too scared to face the world. Now, sacrificing your life to save another is another thing alltogether.

Malaqai, that really is a judgement you cannot make. You do not know the reasons why people chose to end their own lives.

Add to that the debate about terminal illness and assisted suicides or euthanasia, and I think the "cowardly" statement is perhaps not well thought out.

There are theories around, that T.E. Lawrence was searching for dead, as he took up the habit of senseless speeding on motorbikes. And describing "the greatest Englishmen" as coward ?

I do not generalize euthanasia as suicide. Never did, never will. I apologise if I offended anyone, but if a man/woman chooses to end their life because of, in example, they commited a crime and they do not want to pay the price----NOW THAT IS COWARDICE.
