AC Cap

    @Hokita: There is an undocumented feature of the AC cap where the -2 bonus from proficiency points in single weapon style allows you to go over the -24 cap, up to -26...

    Its a minor point, but as long as we are being technical here... :p

    One more confirmation (not that it's needed): AC cap is indeed at -24. Once had a swashbuckler wearing the Big Metal Unit, as well as tons of magical items. His AC was supposed to reach -28, but it stuck at -24. He was not as immune as I thought he would be: the ToB End Boss, as well as the Prince of Demons, could easily hit him. In fact the End Boss would score at almost EVERY HIT.

    I once looked through all the 2DA files. The AC cap is not there. Considering how the IE engine works (ie, everything related to the rules is either in the main executable or in a 2DA file), I believe the limitation is indeed hard-coded.

    If someone's patient enough I guess there is a way to track it down. However, I don't think changing it will be so easy, as the engine will probably not be able to deal with lower values properly.
